Best Water Run 2025

April-May, 2025: In 2024, BWT initiated the BEST WATER RUN for the very first time. In the beginning, there was a wish: A wish to create an outstanding, sustainable, long-term initiative with the potential to inspire people worldwide to join BWT’s mission to change the world sip by sip.

“Sip by sip” quickly turned into “step by step”, and an inclusive running event was born. Six kilometers - the average distance that people in rural African areas must walk to fetch clean drinking water - was chosen as the distance to be run or walked, with a donation being made by BWT for the b.waterMISSION project for every kilometer completed.

In its second edition in 2025, more than 10,000 runners participated in the BEST WATER RUN! The team was able to motivate not only employees and partners, but also end users, students and many more besides to participate in the run on a global scale, with most of them wearing BWT’s signature pink, thereby sending a strong message of change.

The Best Water Run is an inspiring initiative, contributed already to the construction of more than 12 wells in Africa! The organization team is ready to take this pink movement to the next level! See you next year!
